Making A Difference
Activated Alleyways
Clean and safe alleyways for all.
Our alleyways should be safe and clean for all to enjoy. Each has its own set of unique challenges, so the approach will differ from alley to alley, however, our standard blueprint for each will consist of: lighting, painting and regular activations. This safe initiative for alleys not only benefits our community but the merchant corridors as well.
We've already started with Olive Alley by partnering with the Tenderloin Community Benefit District (TLCBD) and the Tenderloin Police Station, working on safety and cleanliness with regular activations soon to follow.
Thai New Year sf
TNYSF
San Francisco's official Thai New Year (Songkran) Celebration
Our food and culture festival takes part every April and is organized in partnership with The San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), Livable City/Sunday Streets and The Tenderloin Community Benefit District (TLCBD).
The Festival is a celebration of Southeast Asian culture, food and tradition. The top Thai restaurants in San Francisco come out to flex their respective culinary muscles. The festival features over 15 food booths, cultural dances, live music performances and even an elaborate fashion show. Last year at our 2019 inaugural festival, attendance at Thai New Year topped 8,500 people. The community support for this ambitious Tenderloin project was loud and clear. It's safe to say Thai New Year SF was a success!
